In the first quarter of 2025, the top music and podcasts applications on the iOS platform in Peru showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Spotify - Music and Podcasts from Spotify maintained a consistent weekly revenue, starting at approximately $32 and experiencing minor fluctuations before closing the quarter around $27. The app's weekly downloads began at 9.6K, peaking at 10.4K mid-January, and then gradually declined to 6.5K by the end of March. Active users saw a slight decrease from 373K to 340K throughout the quarter.
YouTube Music by Google saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable spike to $10.2K in late February. Downloads remained relatively steady, starting at 3.9K and closing at 2.9K. Active users increased from 98.8K to 105.2K, showing an upward trend over the quarter.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts, an Apple product, had minimal revenue changes, ranging from $1 to $11. Downloads were stable, decreasing slightly from 2.3K to 1.6K. Active users exhibited a slight decline from 150.7K to 136.2K by the end of March.
Claro Musica from Claro Música displayed more volatility in revenue, peaking at $202 in late January. Downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at 764 and ending at 954. Active users remained relatively constant, with a minor increase from 3.6K to 3.8K.
Finally, SoundCloud: Get festival ready recorded a revenue peak at $168 in late February. Downloads showed a slight decline, beginning at 1.04K and closing at 868. Active users saw an increase from 82.8K to 83.9K, indicating strong user engagement.
