In the first quarter of 2025, the social networking landscape on iOS in Colombia showcased intriguing trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Threads maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 23K and 36K, peaking at the beginning of January. Its active user base displayed a consistent upward trajectory, rising from approximately 672K to 727K by the end of March.
Telegram Messenger experienced modest revenue growth, ending the quarter at around $3.7K per week. Its downloads ranged from 15K to 19K weekly, while active users saw a slight decline from 226K to 211K.
Facebook generated steady weekly revenue, peaking at about $4.2K in late February. Downloads decreased steadily from 21K to around 9K, yet the app’s active users remained robust, fluctuating between 5.1M and 5.2M.
WhatsApp Messenger experienced a notable drop in downloads, starting the quarter at 22K and declining to 7K. Despite this, its active user base remained stable, hovering around 1.27M throughout the quarter.
Google Meet saw an increase in downloads, reaching a peak of 16K in mid-February. Active users also grew steadily, beginning at 5.7K and ending the quarter at 10.4K.
