In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top sports games on iOS in Spain varied significantly. Here's a detailed look at the trends for the top five games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
8 Ball Pool™ from Miniclip.com saw a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from about 66K in early January and ending at around 6.5K by the end of March. Revenue also decreased from approximately $21K to $11.6K over the quarter. Weekly active users dropped from 167K to 105K, indicating a consistent downward trend.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by Electronic Arts displayed fluctuating revenue, peaking at around $34.4K in mid-February before stabilizing to approximately $26.8K at the end of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, with slight variations, hovering between 4.8K and 7.9K. Active users increased over the quarter, rising from 76K to 98K, showcasing a positive engagement trend.
Score! Hero by First Touch Games Ltd. experienced modest revenue, with weekly figures mostly around $400-$500. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 4.7K in mid-January and ending at 3.9K. Active users showed a slight increase from 11K to 12K, indicating stable user retention.
Grand Mountain Adventure 2 from Toppluva AB, released in mid-February, started strong with 25K downloads in its first week but saw a decline to just over 1K by the end of March. Revenue rose from $142 to $822 in early March before dropping to $493. Active users decreased from 24.6K to 12K over the quarter.
World Soccer Champs by Monkey I-Brow Studios had a notable spike in downloads, reaching 12.9K in mid-January, but declined to 773 by the end of March. Revenue peaked at $1.3K mid-January and gradually decreased to $395. Active users showed a decline from 12.5K to 8.2K, reflecting reduced engagement.
