Performance of Top Tabletop Board Games on iOS in Romania Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the Romanian iOS market for tabletop board games saw varied performance among the top five apps. According to data from Sensor Tower, each app presented unique trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board by Beach Bum Ltd had a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $17.9K in late February. However, downloads decreased significantly, starting from 930 in early January to around 210 by the end of March. Weekly active users also showed a decline from 4.4K to 2.6K over the quarter.

Chess - Play & Learn from Chess.com experienced a gradual decline in weekly revenue, with the lowest point at $1.3K in early March. Downloads also decreased, from 1.8K at the start of the quarter to just over 500 by the end. Despite these trends, active users consistently rose, reaching nearly 28.8K.

Rummy 45 - Remi Etalat, developed by Danady & Company SRL, maintained stable revenue, fluctuating around the $1K mark. Downloads decreased from 8.3K to 3.6K, while active users remained relatively steady, ending the quarter at approximately 33.1K.

With Ludo Club・Fun Dice Board Game, Moonfrog observed a consistent revenue around $1K per week. Downloads saw a decrease from 3.5K to about 1.5K, and active users experienced a slight decline, closing the quarter at 17.9K.

Lastly, Backgammon Legends by Ahoy Games saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching close to $1K by late March. Downloads dropped from 464 to just 62, while active users fluctuated slightly, ending at 3.2K.
