In the first quarter of 2025, the top five trivia games on the iOS platform in Germany showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. Here's a closer look at each app's progress during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
GeoGuessr, developed by GeoGuessr AB, saw its weekly revenue peak at around $21K in early January, with a gradual decrease to approximately $11K by the end of March. Weekly downloads peaked at 42K in late January, while active users reached a high of 209K in late March.
Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes, by Kahoot ASA, experienced a steady rise in weekly active users, reaching over 204K by the end of March. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 18.8K in late January, while revenue saw a modest increase, peaking at about $9.1K in late March.
QuizDuel! Trivia & Quiz game from MAG Interactive maintained a consistent revenue stream, peaking at approximately $31K at the end of March. Downloads decreased over the quarter, from 23K in early January to around 8.8K by the end of March. Active users remained strong, peaking at over 1.1M in early February.
Trivia Spin - Smart Questions by Severex showed a significant drop in downloads from 34.8K in early January to just over 2.3K by the end of March. Revenue followed a similar downward trend, peaking at $1.2K in early January and dropping to $263 by the end of March. Active users decreased steadily, from 1.9K in late January to 759 by the end of the quarter.
Akinator by Elokence experienced a consistent download range, peaking at 5.8K in early March. Active users saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 40K in late March, while revenue remained minimal throughout the period.
