In the first quarter of 2025, the word puzzle game category on the iOS platform in Luxembourg saw varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five performers:
Words of Wonders: Crossword from FUGO BILISIM TEKNOLOJILERI VE YAZILIM TICARET ANONIM SIRKETI showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $384 in early February. However, weekly downloads experienced a significant decline from 123 at the start of the quarter to just 1 by the end. Active users decreased gradually, starting at 518 and ending at 376.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game by Oakever Games had a peak revenue of around $483 in mid-February. Downloads started strong at 91 but fell sharply to 1 by the end of the quarter. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly from 755 to 636.
NYT Games: Word, Number, Logic from The New York Times Company saw a steady rise in revenue, peaking at approximately $297 in late March. Downloads were minimal throughout the quarter, with a slight increase to 10 in late February. Active users gradually decreased from 65 to 44.
Wordscapes by PeopleFun, Inc. experienced varied revenue trends, with a notable peak of $273 in mid-March. Downloads were low, starting at 72 and dropping to 1 by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from 183 to 94.
CodyCross: Crossword Puzzles from Fanatee had a fluctuating revenue trend, with a high of $225 toward the end of January. Downloads were sparse, with only a few weeks recording any activity. Active users decreased steadily, beginning at 113 and ending at 31.
