In the first quarter of 2025, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Latin America demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these apps' metrics.
Uber - Request a ride saw significant weekly download activity, starting at approximately 760K and reaching a peak of around 804K in early February. Active users also showed a consistent growth, rising from 40M to over 46M by the end of March.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a steady increase in downloads, with numbers fluctuating between 440K and 510K. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at 14.8M and climbing to about 15.5M by the quarter's end.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides showed a robust increase in downloads, peaking at nearly 493K in late February. Active users also increased from 23.3M to 27.8M over the quarter.
The app Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a steady download rate, hovering around 240K to 260K. Active users slightly declined from 7.1M to 6.7M.
Finally, Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a surge in downloads, reaching up to 381K in early March. Active users grew significantly from 1.9M to 3.7M by the end of the quarter.
