In the first quarter of 2025, Germany's consumer finance app market showcased varied trends across the top five applications. These insights, derived from Sensor Tower, provide an overview of the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge saw a dynamic quarter with weekly revenue starting at $202K and peaking at $241K in early January. Downloads began at 56.7K, gradually declining to 27K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, initially at 1.43M, dipping to 1.22M before closing at 1.31M.
Outbank: Intelligent Banking experienced a significant revenue spike in early March, reaching $188K. The app's downloads remained low, starting at 609 and stabilizing around 200. Active users showed a slight decline from 6.7K to 5.5K throughout the quarter.
Splitwise maintained consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $2.5K. Downloads increased from 23.6K to 15.7K by March, while active users saw growth from 845K to 785K, reflecting a stable user base.
StarMoney - Banking + Finanzen recorded steady revenue of around $1.5K per week. Download numbers were minimal, starting at 487 and dropping to 39 by the quarter's end. Active users decreased from 4.5K to 3.9K, indicating a shrinking user engagement.
Lastly, MoneyControl Spending Tracker displayed stable revenue, hovering near $1.3K weekly. Downloads decreased from 1.5K to 648, and active users also saw a decline from 25.1K to 21.4K.
