In the first quarter of 2025, the top dating applications in Australia demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, beginning at approximately $1.2M and reaching a low of about $844K in late February, before rebounding to $1.05M by the end of March. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 11K to 12K, while active users peaked at 416K in January, before declining to around 351K by the end of the quarter.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $410K in early February. Downloads were steady, with numbers ranging from 13K to 15K. Active users showed slight fluctuations, maintaining a range between 285K and 333K throughout the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date recorded a peak weekly revenue of $346K in March. Downloads varied from 8.7K to 10.1K, while active users saw a decline from 280K to 243K by the quarter's end.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat managed to maintain a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $172K in late February. Downloads hovered around 2.2K to 2.6K, while active users increased slightly from 57K to 66K mid-quarter before settling at 58K.
Plenty of Fish : Dating App showed stable revenue, with a peak of $78K in late February. Downloads remained in the range of 2.2K to 3.1K, and active users decreased from 29K to 20K by the end of March.
