In the first quarter of 2025, dating apps in the United States showed varied performance metrics based on data from Sensor Tower's unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android users. Here’s a look at the top five apps:
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat, from Tinder LLC, maintained strong revenue figures, peaking at about $11.8M in early February. Weekly downloads experienced a dip, starting the quarter at around 177K and ending at 138K. Active users saw fluctuations, beginning at 8M and closing the quarter at approximately 7.3M.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet by Hinge, Inc. showed consistent revenue, with a noticeable peak of $7.2M in early March. Downloads began at 140K and gradually decreased to 121K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 4M throughout the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date, published by Bumble Holding Limited, exhibited weekly revenue fluctuations, reaching up to $6.8M at the start of the quarter. Downloads started at 145K, tapering off to 114K by the end of March. Active user numbers remained robust, averaging around 4M.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat from Grindr LLC saw a revenue increase, peaking at $3M in late February. Download numbers were steady, starting at 37K and ending at 37K. Active users decreased slightly from 2.5M to 2.2M over the quarter.
Match Dating App : Chat & Meet, by Match Group Americas, LLC, experienced a steady revenue, with a high of $986K in late February. Downloads started at 35K and ended at 25K, while active users increased from 493K to 646K.
