2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the first quarter of 2025, the dining and restaurant app landscape in Australia showed notable trends across the top five apps. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals interesting patterns in downloads and active user engagement.
MyMacca's witnessed a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 22K and peaking at approximately 36K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users also climbed from 1.7M to over 2M by the end of the quarter.
pub+ experienced a surge in downloads early in the quarter, reaching 27K in February, before tapering off to around 12K. Its active users steadily grew from 46K to about 63K.
KFC - Order On The Go maintained a consistent download rate, with a notable increase to 22K downloads in February. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 866K, dropping, and then rising again to 852K.
Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering showed stable download numbers, with a slight peak in late March at 18K. The active user base saw a significant increase from 462K to over 532K by quarter's end.
Finally, Guzman y Gomez (GYG) Mexican had a steady download growth, culminating at 16K in the last week of March. Active users increased from 224K to 280K over the same period.
