2026 State of Mobile is Live!

During the first quarter of 2025, the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in Germany displayed varying performance metrics in downloads and active user engagement.
McDonald’s Germany consistently led the market with weekly downloads peaking at about 81.7K at the start of January, tapering to 64.5K by the end of March. The app maintained a robust user base, with active users rising from 4.6M to over 5M.
Subway Deutschland experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of nearly 38.4K by late January. However, this was followed by a gradual decline to around 23.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 253K before decreasing to 179K.
Burger King Deutschland maintained a steady download rate, with numbers fluctuating between 22.5K and 27.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.2M throughout the quarter.
KFC downloads showed variability, starting at 13.3K and reaching up to 19K in early February. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 268K and peaking at 299K in mid-February.
Finally, Domino's Pizza Deutschland saw a consistent download rate around 5K to 7K, with active users increasing slightly from 139K to 143K by the end of March.
