During the first quarter of 2025, the geolocation game sector in Europe saw notable performances from several leading applications. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights key trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for the top five games in this category.
Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. experienced a significant increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $5.8M in late February. Weekly downloads also surged, especially around the same period, reaching a peak of about 174K. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users, climbing from 5.8M to over 7.3M by early March.
Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games by Akita Limited Liability Company showed a consistent weekly revenue, staying around $20K throughout the quarter. Downloads increased notably in early March, peaking at 43K, while active users saw a rise to approximately 48K before settling back around 35K by the end of the quarter.
Atlas Earth from Atlas Reality, Inc. recorded a steady revenue with a peak of $53K in the final week of March. The app experienced a fluctuating download pattern, with a high of 32K in mid-January. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging between 46K and 57K throughout the quarter.
Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 by Liudmyla Petryshyn did not report revenue but saw a peak in downloads at 24K in late February. The app's active user base grew steadily, reaching over 92K in the same period.
Jurassic World Alive from Jam City, Inc. had a strong revenue performance, peaking at $88K in early February. Downloads showed an upward trend in March, with a high of 21K. Active users increased to about 113K by mid-March before seeing a slight decline.
