The first quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends for the top health and fitness applications in Australia. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner by Yuca displayed a varied performance. Weekly revenue started at around $7.2K, peaking early at $7.9K before gradually declining to approximately $5.8K by the end of March. Downloads showed a strong upward trend, beginning with 17.2K and reaching over 26K in the last two weeks of the quarter. Active users increased steadily, starting from 157.6K and ending at 229.3K.
Strava: Run, Bike, Walk maintained a stable revenue, starting at $133K and peaking at $173K mid-March. However, downloads decreased from 19.9K to about 13.4K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a decline from 828.7K to 725.1K over the same period.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced fluctuating revenue, with a high of $204K in early February, tapering to around $147K by the end of the quarter. Downloads decreased from 21.6K to 13.5K, while active users dropped from 595.9K to 425.1K.
Finch: Self-Care Pet showed a peak in revenue at $22K in early March, with downloads initially at 20.8K, dropping to 12.1K by quarter's end. Active users slightly declined from 180.3K to 162.9K.
Flo Cycle & Period Tracker showed fluctuating revenue, peaking in early March at $151.8K and ending at $99.5K. Downloads decreased from 15K to 9.8K, while active users shifted from 619.3K to 580.9K.
