In the first quarter of 2025, Belgium's health and fitness app market saw notable activity, with data provided by Sensor Tower offering insights into the performance of the top five applications on a unified platform.
Macadam, The Step Counter from PRODUKT BCN INTERACTIVE SL showed a remarkable trend in downloads, with numbers peaking at around 20K in early February. The app's weekly active users increased steadily, starting from 10.5K and reaching over 42K by the end of March.
Ma MC, published by Mutualites Chretiennes - Christelijke Mutualiteiten, experienced a consistent download rate, hovering around 8K to 10K throughout the quarter. Its active user base showed a significant rise, peaking at 149K in mid-March before settling at approximately 117K.
Helena, by HealthConnect, maintained a stable download pattern, with slight fluctuations between 7K and 10K weekly. Active users saw growth from 33K to over 51K by quarter's end, despite a drop in mid-March.
Basic-Fit saw its downloads peak at 12.3K in late January, followed by a decline to about 5.7K by March. However, its active users remained robust, consistently exceeding 450K throughout the quarter.
Foodvisor - Calorie Counter from Foodvisor demonstrated resilience in weekly revenue, achieving approximately $22K at the start of the quarter, with a slight dip to around $15K by the end. Downloads began at 11.7K and saw a gradual decrease, while active users increased from 14K to over 20K by the quarter's conclusion.
