Top Maps and Navigation Apps in Russia: Q1 2025 Performance

The first quarter of 2025 saw significant activity in the maps and navigation app category in Russia. Here's a closer look at the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation experienced a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting the quarter at approximately 190K and peaking at around 199K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady increase, rising from 21.2M to nearly 23M over the quarter.

Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery maintained a stable download rate, beginning at 227K and fluctuating slightly, with a peak of 190K in early March. Active users remained robust, with a slight dip at the start but recovering to over 26M by the quarter's end.

Yandex Maps and Navigator saw a modest revenue stream, peaking at about $4K in late February. Downloads decreased slightly from 209K to 154K, while active users increased steadily from 39.8M to over 42M.

РЖД Пассажирам билеты на поезд had a consistent download pattern, ranging between 43K and 57K. Active users fluctuated but showed a strong increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 3.5M.

Yandex Pro (Taximeter) downloads started at 51K, climbing to a high of 80K mid-quarter before settling at around 59K. Active users showed a healthy increase from 1M to over 1.3M by the end of March.
