In the first quarter of 2025, the personal finance budgeting and planning applications market in Germany showcased diverse trends across the top five apps. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the performance of these applications on a unified platform.
Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge from dwins GmbH demonstrated strong revenue figures, with weekly earnings peaking at approximately $241K in early January before stabilizing around $175K by the end of March. Weekly downloads started the quarter at 56.7K, gradually decreasing to 26.9K. Active users fluctuated, reaching over 1.4M in late January, but ending at 1.3M.
Splitwise showed a modest revenue pattern, maintaining around $2K to $3K weekly. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, starting at 23.6K and climbing to 15.7K. Active users saw a rise from 782K to 785K, marking a positive trend in user engagement.
The app Splid – Split group bills recorded consistent revenue, peaking at over $1K in late March. Downloads increased steadily from 14.3K to 8.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users grew from 289K to 324K, indicating a healthy user base expansion.
CashCounter: The cash manager experienced minimal revenue, with slight increases reaching $142 by late March. Downloads showed a decrease from 9K to 3.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 60K mark.
Lastly, Finanzfluss Copilot maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $1K in March. Downloads decreased significantly from 7.9K to 1.8K. Active users also declined from 55K to 42K by the end of the quarter.
