In the first quarter of 2025, the word puzzle game category in Bulgaria saw varied performance across top apps on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Words of Wonders: Crossword displayed a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $323 in early January. Weekly downloads started at 6.4K and saw a general decline, closing the quarter at approximately 3.5K. Active users showed a slight decrease from 30.5K to 26.3K.
NYT Games: Word, Number, Logic maintained stable weekly revenues, hovering around $100 with minor fluctuations. Downloads were modest, ranging from 125 to 308 weekly, while active users peaked at 756 mid-quarter before settling at 625.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game experienced a notable end-of-quarter spike in revenue, reaching $161. Downloads decreased significantly from 7.8K to 1.5K over the quarter. Active users also saw a decline, beginning at 26K and ending just above 21K.
Wordscapes had a remarkable revenue peak of $234 in late February. Despite low download numbers, ranging from 93 to 201 weekly, the app maintained a steady active user base, starting at 412 and closing at 277.
Word Snack - Picnic with Words saw revenue fluctuations, with a high of $99 in late January. Downloads started at 1.2K and gradually declined to 499 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 3.9K and ending at 2.8K.
