In the first quarter of 2025, the word puzzle game category in Poland saw interesting trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. Here's a breakdown of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Words of Wonders: Crossword from FUGO BILISIM TEKNOLOJILERI VE YAZILIM TICARET ANONIM SIRKETI showed a consistent pattern in weekly revenue, which fluctuated between $1K and $2K, peaking at around $1.9K in early March. The app maintained strong weekly downloads, starting at over 30K at the beginning of the quarter and gradually declining to about 11K by the end. Active users decreased from approximately 563K to 449K over the same period.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game by Oakever Games experienced a decline in weekly revenue from $1.3K to $869. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, starting at 22K and dropping to just over 3K. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 150K.
NYT Games: Wordle & Crossword from The New York Times Company had modest weekly revenue, peaking at $762 in early March. Downloads were low, ranging from 530 to 296. However, active users increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 9K.
Word Collect : Word Search by Super Lucky Games LLC saw a significant increase in revenue from $80 to over $1.2K by the end of March. Downloads showed a sharp rise mid-quarter, reaching over 2K, while active users increased from 100 to 1.4K.
Crostic Crossword-Word Puzzles by Severex maintained steady revenue, starting at $350 and ending at $200. Downloads began at 43K and decreased to around 8K. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter at approximately 54K.
