In the first quarter of 2025, Australia's word puzzle game market showcased dynamic trends across the top five applications. Here's a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $4.8K and peaking at around $7K by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of about 20.7K mid-March. Active users increased from 97.8K to 120K over the quarter.
Crossword Master - Word Puzzle experienced declining trends. Revenue started at $892 and decreased to around $502. Downloads dropped from 18.2K to 6K, while active users decreased from 43.8K to 35.5K.
Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle faced a downward trend in revenue, starting from $3.9K and declining to about $1.6K. Downloads fell from 26K to 4.7K, with active users decreasing from 144.4K to 103.6K.
Word Search Explorer® showed growth in downloads, beginning at 4.9K and rising to 21.1K. Revenue remained stable, fluctuating around $895 to $1K. Active users increased significantly from 30.7K to 53K.
NYT Games: Word, Number, Logic had a mixed performance. Revenue peaked at $31.9K in early March but fell to $16.5K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained steady, around 7.8K to 12.7K, while active users decreased from 155.8K to 135.6K.
