In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Spain showcased interesting trends among the top apps on the Android platform. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varied performance in terms of downloads and active users.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a steady increase, starting at around 28.8K and peaking at approximately 41.8K mid-June. Active users also demonstrated growth, rising from 1M to over 1.3M by the end of June.
Cabify experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, beginning at 13.1K and reaching a high of 23.1K at the end of the quarter. Active user numbers were similarly dynamic, eventually increasing from 451K to over 600K.
Bolt: Request a Ride showed a diverse trend in downloads, starting at 13.6K, with a notable rise to 16K in late June. The app's active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 350K.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw its weekly downloads rise from 10.7K to approximately 13.1K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a steady increase, peaking at nearly 360K.
Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced a gradual rise in downloads, beginning at 3.1K and reaching 4K in early June. Active users increased from around 22K to 30K over the same period.
