In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of top maps and navigation applications on Android in Saudi Arabia showcased diverse trends. According to Sensor Tower data, the following apps demonstrated significant activity in terms of downloads and active users.
Balady+بلدي from NHCi saw a notable spike in downloads, reaching over 48K in the week of May 19. This was a significant increase compared to early April when downloads were around 3.1K. The app's active user base also grew, peaking at approximately 172K by the end of May.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 13K and 23K, with a peak in early June. Active users remained robust, with numbers staying above 500K throughout the quarter, peaking at over 632K in late May.
Bolt: Request a Ride exhibited stable download numbers, averaging around 10K weekly. The active user count reached a high of approximately 241K in early April, with a slight decrease towards the end of the quarter.
Jeeny - Book Affordable Rides experienced steady growth in downloads, peaking at 13.5K in early June. Active users saw a consistent increase, peaking at 246K in late May.
Careem: Rides, Food & more had weekly downloads ranging from 7K to 11K, with a noticeable peak in late June. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 270K at the end of April.
