In the second quarter of 2025, the top personal finance apps on the Android platform in the United States showcased varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for these leading apps, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets demonstrated a stable weekly revenue pattern, peaking at approximately $59K in early April. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 59K and dropping to around 33K by late June, while active users remained robust, maintaining over 1.5M throughout the quarter.
EveryDollar: Budget Management saw steady weekly revenue, hovering around $37K to $44K, with a peak in mid-May. Downloads were consistent, averaging around 11K to 13K weekly. The app experienced a decline in active users, from 278K at the start of the quarter to approximately 226K by the end.
YNAB maintained a weekly revenue close to $31K to $35K. Downloads were relatively low, ranging from 2K to 2.5K weekly, while active users showed a slight decline, ending the quarter at around 176K.
Monarch: Budget & Track Money experienced an upward trajectory in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $37K by the end of June. Downloads increased significantly from 5K to over 9K, and active users grew from 95K to over 112K by the quarter's end.
Finally, Quicken Simplifi: Budget Smart saw variable weekly revenue, peaking at $12K in early June. Downloads remained steady, with a slight increase from 1.3K to 1.6K over the quarter. Active users fluctuated, starting at 131K and ending at 122K.
