In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five dating applications on the iOS platform in Kenya showcased interesting trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative, published by Bad Kitty's Dad, demonstrated remarkable growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged from 491 in early April to a peak of 7.1K by mid-June. Similarly, active users rose from 1.3K to 9.4K over the quarter. Revenue showed a steady climb, reaching $83 by the end of June.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat maintained a strong presence, with revenue peaking at $1.9K in the final week of June. Downloads experienced a notable spike in early June, reaching 1.2K, while active users remained consistently high, fluctuating around 9K.
Poppo Live- Live Stream by Vshow PTE. LTD. saw a significant increase in revenue, which rose to $458 by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, while active users hovered around 1.1K, indicating steady engagement.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date experienced a steady revenue stream, peaking at $1.7K in late June. Downloads were consistent, averaging around 400 weekly, while active users showed a gradual increase, reaching over 6K by the quarter's end.
Finally, Bumpy – International Dating, published by Bumpy Inc., displayed a late-quarter surge in downloads, reaching over 1K by the end of June. Active users grew steadily from 2.3K to over 3K, while revenue saw a moderate increase, peaking at $245 in early June.
