The second quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends in the performance of fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on the iOS platform in Germany. Here's a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s Germany experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 33.7K and ending the quarter at around 18.5K. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 2.65M and concluding at about 2.08M.
Burger King Deutschland maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 11.5K and 16.2K weekly. Active user numbers showed a slight increase from 603K to 597K, peaking at 685K in early June.
Subway Deutschland saw downloads ranging from 8.1K to 13.2K, with active users increasing from 88.8K to a high of 97.8K by late June.
KFC showed a steady pattern in downloads, peaking at 10.8K in April and stabilizing around 9.1K by June. Active users had a notable rise from 140K to 154K, showing engagement growth.
Finally, Bitburger experienced a significant fluctuation in downloads, starting at 1.8K and reaching a peak of 8.2K in late April, with active users increasing from 4.8K to around 9K.
