2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the second quarter of 2025, Australia's leading insurance apps on the iOS platform showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
My Medibank saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 4.8K and reaching over 6.1K by the end of June. Active users also grew steadily, peaking at around 131K mid-June before settling at 119K.
The AAMI App experienced a consistent rise in downloads, culminating at approximately 4.3K in late June. Active user numbers remained stable, with a sharp drop to around 37K in early June, recovering slightly to 36K by the quarter's end.
Hostplus had fluctuating download numbers, with a notable increase to 6.4K at the quarter's start and stabilizing around 3.3K by June. Active users decreased from 73K to just over 61K by the end of the quarter.
nib showed a steady download trend, beginning at 3K and peaking at 3.2K in late June. Active users more than doubled from 13K to 26K throughout the quarter.
Finally, the HCF My Membership App maintained a steady download rate, with a slight increase to 2.7K by the end of June. Active users also saw a rise, doubling from 10K to over 23K during the quarter.
