In the second quarter of 2025, the real-time strategy games sector on iOS in South Africa showcased dynamic trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key insights into the performance of the top five apps in this category.
Clash Royale, developed by Supercell, saw a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $2.4K and reaching $7.5K by the end of June. Downloads also rose significantly, peaking at 1.7K in the last week of the quarter. The game maintained a robust user base, with active users climbing from 10K to nearly 18K.
Tower War - Tactical Conquest from SayGames LTD experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a peak at $560 in late April, before settling around $315 by the end of June. Downloads were varied, ranging from 276 to 751 weekly, while active users remained steady, ending the quarter at 2.7K.
Mob Control by Voodoo exhibited consistent revenue growth, starting at $487 and reaching $631 by late June. Downloads saw a notable peak of 695 in early June, and active users fluctuated around 1K to 1.4K throughout the period.
Color Clash Arena, another title from Voodoo, had modest revenue, peaking at $152 in late April. Downloads were relatively low, with a high of 302 in early April, while active users hovered just above 1K.
Finally, State Connect: Traffic Control from AI Games FZ showed limited revenue, with occasional peaks reaching $62. Downloads varied, concluding the quarter at 247, and active users saw a gradual increase, ending at 547.
