In the second quarter of 2025, the air travel app market in Romania saw varied performances across the top five applications on the unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Wizz Air - Book Flights experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.7K and peaking at 7.8K by mid-June. The app’s weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 321.9K, dipping to 223.6K, and rising again to 263K by the end of the quarter.
Ryanair saw downloads rise from 4.1K to 4.1K, with a notable increase in active users from 50.8K to 74.9K over the quarter, indicating consistent user engagement.
Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker recorded a significant increase in revenue, starting at $1.8K and reaching $2.7K by the end of June. Downloads increased from 2.4K to a high of 5.5K in mid-June, while active users surged from 70.3K to 98.9K.
eSky - Cheap Flights & Travel maintained a stable download rate, averaging around 2.6K weekly, with active users slightly decreasing from 6.9K to 6.2K.
Lufthansa saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 974 and reaching 1.2K by the end of the quarter. The active user count also grew from 2.1K to 2.4K.
