The second quarter of 2025 saw notable performance trends among the top consumer finance applications in New Zealand. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited varied patterns in downloads and active user engagement.
ANZ goMoney New Zealand experienced a consistent download rate, peaking at approximately 5.9K in early April. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 590K and 686K throughout the quarter.
BNZ Mobile showed a steady increase in downloads, reaching about 4.8K in the week of June 9. The active user count saw a gradual rise, culminating at 233K by the end of June.
For ASB Mobile Banking, weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak at 3.5K in mid-May. Active users demonstrated growth, closing the quarter with over 402K.
The Kiwibank Mobile Banking app experienced moderate download activity, with a notable increase in mid-May to 3.2K. Active users consistently hovered around 265K to 280K.
Lastly, Westpac One NZ Mobile Banking saw download numbers peak at nearly 3K in late June. The app's active users ranged from 199K to 226K, showing steady engagement.
