In the second quarter of 2025, the leading dating applications in Australia showcased varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat maintained a robust weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.04M in early April, though it saw a gradual decrease towards the end of June, ending at approximately $924K. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at 10.6K and closing the quarter at 9.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a peak of 416K in early June before settling at 388K by the end of the quarter.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet experienced a consistent growth in revenue, reaching a high of $454K in mid-May. Downloads were steady, with a noticeable increase to 14.2K in early June. Active users showed resilience, fluctuating between 280K and 325K throughout the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw moderate revenue growth, with revenues peaking at $360K in late April. However, downloads decreased over the quarter, starting at 8.9K and ending at 5.9K. Active users initially declined but recovered to 240K by mid-June.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $167K in mid-May. Downloads remained consistent, hovering around 2.4K weekly. Active users showed a slight decline from 62K in April to 50K by the end of June.
Yubo : Make friends & chat now had a varied revenue performance, peaking at $85K in mid-May. Downloads were lower, with a notable dip to 1.6K in late May but recovering to 3.8K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 14.5K to 19.2K over the same period.
