In the second quarter of 2025, the unified platform performance of top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in New Zealand showcased varying trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed view of these metrics.
McDonald’s consistently led in weekly downloads, peaking at around 6.4K at the start of April. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 245K and 312K, showcasing a robust engagement throughout the quarter.
KFC New Zealand experienced its highest weekly downloads of approximately 5.5K in mid-April. Meanwhile, active users saw a steady rise towards the end of June, reaching over 43K.
For Pizza Hut New Zealand, weekly downloads generally hovered around 3K, with slight dips and peaks throughout the quarter. Active users increased from 27K to over 33K, indicating growing engagement.
Burger King NZ saw a notable rise in downloads towards June, with a peak of 3.7K. Active user numbers also trended upwards, reaching approximately 28.5K by the end of the quarter.
Lastly, Domino's NZ maintained a steady download rate around 1.8K weekly. Active users increased from 17K to over 25K, reflecting a positive trend in user engagement.
