In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the leading insurance applications on a unified platform in the United States showcased diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here is an overview of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Progressive saw a consistent level of weekly downloads, starting at approximately 205K and maintaining a steady pace with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. The app's active user base experienced a notable rise, peaking at over 4.5M in early June before stabilizing around 4.3M by the end of June.
State Farm® maintained a stable download rate, averaging around 130K to 140K weekly. Active users fluctuated, initially decreasing from 3.1M to 2.5M but rebounding to over 3.1M by the quarter's end.
UnitedHealthcare exhibited a varied download pattern, with numbers ranging from 82K to 120K. Active users for UnitedHealthcare showed an increase, reaching a high of approximately 1.7M mid-quarter before settling around 1.4M.
GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance experienced stable download figures, hovering around 90K to 100K weekly. Active users showed a slight decline from 2.1M to just over 2M, with a mid-quarter peak of 2.2M.
Finally, Allstate® Mobile maintained a consistent download rate of around 50K weekly. Active users increased significantly, climbing from 1.1M to over 1.3M by mid-June, before stabilizing around 1.2M.
