In the second quarter of 2025, personal finance apps in Australia demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Splitwise experienced a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $3.2K by the end of June. Downloads showed consistent growth, with numbers climbing to 6.4K in the final week. However, weekly active users saw a decline from 139K to 124K over the quarter.
YNAB maintained steady revenue, peaking at $2.7K in early April before stabilizing around $2.3K. Downloads increased slightly towards the end of the quarter, reaching 785. Active users, however, decreased from 5.5K to 4.2K.
WeMoney: Pay off debt faster saw revenue rise to $2.2K by late June. Despite a decline in downloads from 4.4K to 2.6K, the app maintained a strong base of active users, closing the quarter at 65K.
Spendi | Spend, Enter, Win had a varied revenue performance, peaking at $1.7K in mid-April before dropping to $1K by the end of June. Downloads were minimal, with a brief increase to 225 in April.
Crunchr Receipt Scanner saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $1.7K by the end of June. Despite low download numbers, which peaked at 147, the app showed potential for growth.
