2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the third quarter of 2025, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in New Zealand exhibited varied performance trends. Here's an overview based on data from Sensor Tower.
ANZ goMoney New Zealand saw weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 3.3K in late August. Active users remained robust, growing steadily from 353K at the start of the quarter to approximately 377K by the end.
For BNZ Mobile, downloads began strong with nearly 3.7K in early July but tapered off to about 1.5K by the end of September. Active user numbers experienced a dip, starting at 124K and concluding the quarter at around 110K.
ASB Mobile Banking maintained a consistent download pattern with a notable increase to 2.1K in mid-September. Active users, however, showed a declining trend from 214K to about 185K.
Kiwibank Mobile Banking downloads remained stable, peaking at 1.7K in late September. Active users rose from 157K to 184K, indicating a positive trend throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Westpac One NZ Mobile Banking experienced a gradual increase in downloads, reaching 1.7K in the final week of September. Active users saw slight fluctuations, ending the quarter with approximately 114K.
