In the third quarter of 2025, the Australian food delivery app market on the Android platform showcased varied performance trends among the top five applications. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps experienced different patterns in downloads and active users.
DoorDash: Food, Grocery, More demonstrated a notable trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 17K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong presence in terms of active users, with numbers fluctuating but reaching nearly 473K in the final week.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a peak in downloads in late July with over 21K, which gradually declined to around 9.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a consistent pattern, reaching a high of about 144K in July before stabilizing around 125K.
Uber Eats: Food and Grocery maintained steady download rates throughout the quarter, with a slight rise to over 12K at the end of September. Weekly active users remained robust, averaging around 720K, with minor fluctuations observed.
BWS experienced a dip in downloads mid-quarter but recovered to about 8.3K by the end of September. Active users peaked at over 88K in late July, settling around 75K as the quarter concluded.
Finally, DoorDash - Dasher showed a consistent decline in downloads, ending the quarter at approximately 2.9K. However, active users increased towards the end of September, reaching over 41K.
