In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of food delivery apps on the Android platform in Italy showcased varied trends across different metrics. This analysis provides insights into the weekly downloads and active user trends for the top five applications in the sector.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 22K and peaking at 36K in late July. Active users also demonstrated significant growth, starting at approximately 946K and reaching a high of nearly 1.3M by early September.
Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery maintained a relatively stable download rate, beginning the quarter with around 24K downloads and closing with similar figures. Active users fluctuated but showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, starting at 819K and peaking at 856K.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping observed a gradual decrease in downloads, starting from 16K and dipping to around 11K before rising again to 15K. Active users showed a slight decline overall, beginning at 672K and ending at 627K.
Just Eat ITA Cibo a Domicilio saw a consistent download pattern with numbers hovering around 9K at the start and ending at 7K. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 587K and concluding at 513K.
Just Eat - Food Delivery showed a varied download trend, peaking at 5.5K in mid-July before tapering off to below 1K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 5K mark.
