In the third quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast applications on the Android platform in Sweden showed varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at the key metrics for these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at around $42.6K and reaching $54.5K by the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 3.5K in late September. The app maintained a strong base of active users, hovering around 750K to 770K throughout the quarter.
Podme - Poddar och ljudböcker saw its weekly revenue grow from $8.4K to $9.5K by the end of Q3. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a peak of 851 in early September. However, there was a gradual decline in active users, starting at 7.6K and ending at 5.5K.
SoundCloud: The Music You Love had a modest increase in revenue, rising from $4.7K to $5.5K. Downloads showed a slight upward trend, culminating at 1.3K in late September. Active users fluctuated, with a noticeable increase to over 52K by the quarter's end.
TIDAL Music: HiFi sound demonstrated growth in revenue, starting at $1.3K and peaking at $3.1K. Download numbers were stable, around 400 to 500 weekly, while active users increased significantly, reaching over 9.2K by September's close.
Deezer: Music & Podcast Player showed a gradual increase in revenue, from $700 to $1.2K by the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads remained low, ranging from 100 to 250. Despite this, active users grew, peaking at 5.5K mid-quarter before declining to 2.2K.
