2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in the Netherlands showed varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into weekly downloads and active user statistics, highlighting the dynamics of each app.
Polarsteps Travel saw its weekly downloads peak at around 28.9K in mid-July, followed by a gradual decline, ending the quarter with approximately 17.1K downloads. The active user base started strong at 599K, rose to a peak of 909K in early August, and then tapered down to 603K by the end of September.
ANWB Onderweg & Wegenwacht experienced a peak in downloads at the beginning of July with 19.1K, before stabilizing around 9K towards the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, beginning at 324K, spiking to 443K in early August, and closing at 340K.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 9K and ending with 8.4K downloads. Its active user numbers showed an upward trend, starting at 332K and reaching 384K by late September.
Flitsmeister reported consistent revenue throughout the quarter, with a peak of $45.1K in late July. Downloads remained stable, with a slight increase from 6.3K to 6.5K. Active users showed some fluctuation, peaking mid-quarter at 444K and ending at 402K.
Google Earth had a modest download range from 5.4K at the start, dipping to 3.3K mid-quarter, and slightly recovering to 4.6K by September's end. Active users peaked at 63.8K in late July, with a final count of 50.9K.
