State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the third quarter of 2025, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Europe exhibited notable trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate, starting with 808.8K downloads at the beginning of July, slightly decreasing to 716.7K by the end of September. Active users experienced a dip from 23.8M to a low of 21.2M mid-quarter, but rebounded to 22.9M by the end of the quarter.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a gradual decline in downloads from 542.6K to 444.5K over the quarter. Active user numbers fluctuated, starting at 14.7M, dropping to 12.9M mid-quarter, and ending at approximately 13.7M.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Market experienced a downward trend in downloads, beginning with 360K and closing at 253.6K. Active user numbers remained relatively steady, starting at 27.9M and ending at 27.5M, with minor fluctuations throughout.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads decreased from 180.9K to 146.5K over the quarter. The active user base showed a decline from 5.2M to 4.3M, with a brief increase in early August.
maxim: order a taxi & delivery saw a peak in downloads at 125.8K mid-July, followed by a decrease to 89.1K by the end of September. Active users started at 2.8M, reaching a high of 3M in late August before settling at 2.6M.
