In the third quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Finland showed varied performance across the top apps on a unified platform. Here's a look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a steady presence in Finland. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 9.6K in mid-July before declining to approximately 6.9K by the end of September. Active users saw a decline from 173K at the beginning of the quarter to about 122K by the end.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a stable download rate, starting at 5.7K and ending at 5.3K. The app's active user base showed slight fluctuations, beginning with 51.6K and ending the quarter with approximately 47.4K.
Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more had lower download numbers, starting at 548 and decreasing to 310 by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, ending at around 1.5K.
Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw download numbers rise from 319 to 449 over the quarter. Active users increased from 34.5K to 35.8K, showing a consistent upward trend in engagement.
Finally, Yango: taxi, food, delivery faced a downward trend in downloads, starting at 396 and dropping to 202. Active users also fluctuated, beginning at 5.7K and ending at 2.7K.
