The third quarter of 2025 saw varied performance among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Peru. Here's a detailed look into the trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.
inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 66.6K in late August. However, active users fluctuated, starting at 3.6M and reaching around 4.0M by the end of September.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from 56.2K in July to about 43.6K in September. Nonetheless, active users showed resilience, climbing from 1.5M to a peak of 1.8M before settling at 1.6M.
Uber - Request a ride saw an increase in downloads, starting from 15.2K and rising to 20.6K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a similar upward trend, with numbers reaching over 1.0M in early September.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides faced a decline in downloads, from 9.8K to 8.6K over the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 800K, despite a slight drop towards the end of September.
Cabify showed a modest rise in downloads, peaking at 9.5K mid-September. Active users also experienced growth, ending the quarter at approximately 418K.
