2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the third quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast apps on a unified platform in Finland showcased varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained a strong presence, with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $124K in mid-July. Downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at about 3.7K and closing the quarter around 3.8K. Active users hovered around 700K, with minor fluctuations throughout the period.
Podimo: Podcasts & audiobooks experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $48K by the end of September. Downloads initially decreased from 6K to around 2.2K but showed recovery, ending the quarter at about 3.4K. Active users dipped mid-quarter but rebounded to over 80K.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts reported consistent downloads, starting at 1.9K and finishing at 1.4K. Active users showed a significant drop from over 106K to around 95K by the quarter's end.
SoundCloud: The Music You Love saw weekly revenue generally stable, with a slight peak to about $6.8K in late September. Downloads increased slightly from under 1K to over 1.4K. Active users showed a gradual decline from 43K to 38K.
Finally, YouTube Music showed a steady increase in revenue, reaching approximately $11.5K by the end of the quarter. Downloads decreased from 1.2K to just under 1K, while active users fluctuated, peaking at over 217K in early September before settling at around 197K.
