As the final quarter of 2020 wrapped up, the performance of the top insurance applications on the iOS platform in the United States presented some interesting data points. Here's an overview of how these apps fared, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.
GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance maintained strong engagement with its users, as weekly active users hovered around the 800K mark, with a slight dip in November. Downloads peaked towards the end of December with approximately 62K downloads.
Progressive also experienced a similar pattern in user activity with an active user base of around 700K to 750K throughout the quarter. Download numbers showed a consistent range, with a notable increase to over 54K in the final week of December.
Allstate® Mobile saw its weekly active users fluctuate slightly, with numbers generally staying within the 550K to 560K range. Downloads for Allstate® Mobile demonstrated a steady trend, with the week of November 16th seeing a peak of nearly 28K downloads.
State Farm® had its user base showing modest fluctuations but remained under the 180K mark for weekly active users. The app's downloads saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, ending with around 27K downloads in the last week of December.
Drive Safe & Save™, another app from State Farm, boasted the highest number of weekly active users among the group, maintaining over 1M users throughout the quarter. Download trends for Drive Safe & Save™ were relatively stable, with a slight uptick to over 20K downloads as the quarter closed.
