As we wrap up the fourth quarter of 2020, Sensor Tower has provided an analysis of the performance of the Top 5 Auto applications in Australia. This comprehensive review focuses on the download numbers, revenue, and weekly active users, offering a clear picture of the auto app landscape on the unified platform.
BPme, from BP Australia Pty Ltd, saw its downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 7 thousand in the last week of September and peaking at 7 thousand in the first week of December. The weekly active users for BPme demonstrated a downward trend from 17 thousand to roughly 14 thousand over the quarter.
Petrol Spy Australia by Pinecone Software, which has been aiding Australians since 2015, displayed a steady increase in downloads from 3 thousand at the end of September to over 4 thousand by the end of December. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 40 thousand throughout the quarter, peaking at 45 thousand mid-December.
Google LLC's Android Auto showed a consistent download pattern, with numbers ranging between 3 thousand and 4 thousand. However, the app experienced a noticeable decline in weekly active users, dropping from 294 thousand to around 202 thousand by the end of the quarter.
The myToyota Australia app saw an initial increase in downloads from 2 thousand to over 4 thousand in late October, followed by a steady performance around 3 thousand towards the end of the quarter. The data for weekly active users was not provided.
Lastly, Fuel Map Australia, by WikiCamps, showed a positive trend in both downloads and revenue. Downloads grew from 3 thousand to over 3 thousand from the beginning to the end of the quarter, while revenue saw a peak of 180 in the last week of December. Weekly active users for Fuel Map Australia remained consistent with a slight increase from 22 thousand to over 21 thousand.
