As the year 2020 came to a close, the fast food and fast casual dining sector in Australia saw varying user engagement across its top mobile applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of these apps during the fourth quarter.

MyMacca's saw a significant spike in downloads during the first week of November, reaching over 100K, before gradually declining to around 26K by the year's end. Weekly active users peaked at nearly 680K in early November, followed by a downward trend to approximately 414K.

Domino's experienced its highest number of downloads in mid-October with over 83K, followed by a decrease to 17K by the end of December. The app's active users surged to over 150K in the same period, eventually settling around 78K.

For KFC - Order On The Go, downloads in early October reached nearly 35K, with a slight increase to around 22K by December. The app maintained a stable base of weekly active users, starting at approximately 246K and closing the quarter with around 253K.

The Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering app's downloads hovered between 14K and 19K throughout the quarter, with active users showing a modest fluctuation, starting at around 150K and ending at about 146K.

Lastly, Boost Juice displayed a relatively steady number of downloads in Q4, ranging from 5K to 8K, while its active users saw a slight increase from 20K to just over 24K during the quarter.
