The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for the top io games on the Android platform in Europe. Here's a glimpse into the performance of these addictive titles, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Ancient Battle started the quarter with downloads peaking at 85K in mid-January before falling to 29K by the end of March. Weekly active users reached a high of 167K in the same month but saw a decrease to 77K towards the end of the quarter.
Agar.io, a long-time favorite, maintained a steady number of downloads, starting at 77K at the end of December and ending the quarter with 43K. Its weekly active users saw a slight decline from 252K to 202K over the three months.
Snake Rivals - Fun Snake Game showed a consistent level of downloads, hovering around 30K throughout the quarter. The game's weekly active users experienced a rise in February, reaching 143K, before a slight drop to 116K by the end of March.
Little Big Snake saw its downloads fluctuate, with a high of 27K in early January and a low of 13K by the quarter's close. The weekly active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at 92K and then decreasing to 64K.
Lastly, Worms Zone .io - Hungry Snake dominated the downloads chart with an impressive 277K at the start of the period and maintaining strong performance with 271K downloads in the final week of March. The weekly active users for this game were notably high, with over 2M throughout the quarter, peaking at 2.28M in late March.
