As the first quarter of 2021 wraps up, we've taken a closer look at the performance of the top personal finance applications on the Android platform in the United States. This analysis, powered by data from Sensor Tower, gives us a glimpse into the trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these budgeting and planning tools.

Starting with Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets, we observed a starting revenue trend of around $35K in the first week of January, which experienced fluctuations and concluded with approximately $21K in the last week of March. Downloads began at roughly 80K at the end of December and saw a decline to around 31K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a decreasing trend from approximately 325K to 291K in the same period.

For EveryDollar: Budget Tracker, the revenue trend started at about $13K and peaked at $28K in mid-January before settling at around $15K by the end of March. Downloads for this app showed a slight decrease from 12K to 7K, while active users declined from 165K to 132K throughout the quarter.

Quicken Simplifi: Budget Smart showed a revenue trend that started at roughly $3K and peaked at $4K in early March, with a slight dip to $2.6K by the quarter's end. Downloads started at 4.3K and after some fluctuations, ended at 2.6K. Unfortunately, we do not have data on weekly active users for Quicken Simplifi.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker began the quarter with a revenue of around $4K, saw a mid-quarter increase to $3.4K, and finished with a similar trend at the end of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 3K and ending at 2.2K, with weekly active users hovering around 8K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, PocketGuard・Budget Planner App saw its revenue start at $3K, dipping to around $1.5K by the end of the quarter. Notably, there was a period in late January and early February where no download data was recorded, but the quarter ended with downloads at 703. Active user data for PocketGuard was not available.
