In the first quarter of 2021, the Squad RPG category has seen significant activity on the Android platform in Australia. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the performance of the top five applications in this genre.
RAID: Shadow Legends, published by Plarium Global Ltd, showed a decreasing trend in both downloads and weekly active users, with downloads falling from 4.2K in the last week of December to 1.4K in the final week of March. Revenue also saw a decline, from $71K in the last week of December to approximately $53K by the end of March.
Next, AFK Arena from LilithGames experienced a similar downward trend in downloads, starting at 2.8K and ending the quarter at 703. Weekly active users decreased from 12.1K to 8K. However, revenue showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching $42K in the last measured week.
ELECTRONIC ARTS's Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes also saw a decline in downloads, from 3.4K to 944, and a decrease in weekly active users from 18K to 17.2K. Revenue remained relatively stable with a slight increase to $37K by the end of March.
Summoners War, by Com2uS, had a notable spike in revenue during the first week of March, reaching nearly $49K, despite downloads and active users showing a general decrease throughout the quarter.
Lastly, MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG, developed by Scopely, saw a steady number of downloads, hovering around 1K, and a consistent base of weekly active users, ending the quarter with approximately 2.4K. Revenue for the game showed an upward trend, culminating at over $31K in the last week of March.
