In the first quarter of 2021, the jigsaw puzzle category on iOS saw varied performances among its top apps in Europe. Sensor Tower's data gives us a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Starting with Jigsaw Puzzles for Adults HD, the app experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting at 32K and peaking at 25K by the end of Q1. Its revenue also showed an upward trend, beginning at approximately $19K and closing the quarter at around $13K. Weekly active users saw a decline from 61K to 52K over the period.
ZiMAD's Magic Jigsaw Puzzles-Games HD showed a decrease in downloads from 25K to 23K, while revenue fluctuated, starting at about $12K and ending at $11K. The app's weekly active users decreased significantly from 191K to 182K.
Critical Hit Software's Jigsaw Puzzle had a rather modest quarter, with downloads starting at 2K and reaching 3K by the end of March. Active users, however, saw a slight decline from 22K to 19K. The revenue trend was also unstable, starting at around $10K and ending at $6K.
Jigsaw Puzzles Epic from Kristanix Games saw its downloads hover around 3K to 4K throughout the quarter. Revenue started at $3K, dipped to $2K, and rose back to around $2K. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 9K to 8K.
Lastly, Archaeologist: Jurassic Games by MagisterApp maintained a stable download range between 4K to 3K. Revenue was consistent, starting at close to $2K and ending slightly higher at $2K. The weekly active users remained relatively stable around 13K.
