2025 State of Mobile is Live!
The mobile gaming landscape continues to evolve with MMORPGs maintaining a strong presence on the iOS platform in Europe during the first quarter of 2021. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of the top MMORPG applications.
Blade&Soul: Revolution began its journey with a strong start post-release, garnering around 72K downloads in its launch week. However, the following weeks saw a downtrend, descending to 1K. Revenue followed a similar trajectory, starting at $83K and dipping to $41K by the end of the quarter. Active user data was not available.
Stella Arcana- Eternal Stars experienced a gradual decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 58K to 1K. Revenue peaked in mid-January at $59K before declining to approximately $23K towards March end.
Dragon Raja displayed a more stable pattern with downloads fluctuating around the 4K to 12K mark throughout the quarter. Revenue saw an uptick in March, reaching $43K after a previous low of $31K. The weekly active users peaked at 18K in early March, then slightly decreased to 10K.
Black Desert Mobile showed a consistent level of downloads across the quarter, hovering around the 3K to 4K range. The game's revenue experienced a decrease from $54K at the start of the quarter to $28K by the end, while active users saw a gradual decline from 47K to 27K.
EVE Echoes had its downloads remain fairly steady, with a slight decrease from 11K to 2K. Revenue saw a mixed trend but ended the quarter on a high note at $25K. The game's active users saw a decrease from 25K to 14K over the period.
